Crane Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Green Cloud

This Chinese crane painting belongs to the long tradition of Chinese silk wall art, opening with Great Wall, waterfall, mountain, cloud, and green. Among longevity crane wall decor, this one stands out for the confidence of its brushwork. It carries the calm of the studio it was painted in.

Behind the beauty sits meaning: the Great Wall winding over the ridges, while a waterfall dropping in a pale thread. What holds it together is classical brushwork and a palette of green tones. The silk ground lends every color a depth that keeps the piece interesting for years. The painter's classical brushwork shows especially well in Great Wall, waterfall, and mountain. Around Great Wall, waterfall, and mountain, the green tones settle into a calm, unified field.

It works beautifully as the single piece of art in a minimalist room. A considerate present for a teacher, a host, or a faraway friend.
