Landscape Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Blue-Green Boat

If Chinese landscape scroll painting is your thing, this silk hanging scroll will feel familiar at once: mountain, river, and a small boat. For lovers of Chinese mountain landscape wall decor, the format will feel familiar and the subject fresh. Ink and color share the silk in easy balance, the way the old studio painters liked it.

In Chinese art, layered mountains receding into the haze; a river winding through the composition. The painter's hand shows in a mineral blue-green palette, and mineral blues and greens keep the whole scene luminous. A hanging scroll needs no frame to command a wall — the format does that work itself. Mountain, done in a mineral blue-green palette, is the passage collectors will return to. The mountain, river, and a small boat are rendered with a mineral blue-green palette, while mineral blues and greens tie the whole scene together.

Above a fireplace mantel, the vertical line balances the horizontal below. Give it with a simple note; the painting supplies the eloquence.
