Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Dove Red

The silk of this Chinese flower and bird painting carries dove, peony, and red, handled throughout with rich, full color. For lovers of bird-and-flower silk wall art, the format will feel familiar and the subject fresh. Distance is suggested more than stated, in the best shanshui manner.

Look longer and the meaning opens up — peonies, the flower of wealth and honor, and doves, gentle emblems of peace. The painter's hand shows in rich, full color, and red tones keep the whole scene luminous. Unlike paper, silk forgives nothing — and this brushwork needed no forgiveness. The painter's rich, full color shows especially well in dove, peony, and red. In the red tones, dove finds exactly the mood it needs. Around dove, peony, and red, the red tones settle into a calm, unified field.

It makes a calm backdrop for a reading chair or meditation corner. For anyone who collects Chinese botanical wall art, this is a natural addition.
